A prominent UK-based law firm, recently recognized as one of Europe’s top patent law firms in 2023, has partnered with Nexl, the no-data-entry Collaborative Relationship Management platform. The firm specializes in patents, trademarks, and designs and provides expertise to businesses from various sectors and industries. With a distinguished clientele and consistent excellence, the firm has earned numerous accolades, including notable rankings in Chambers and Partners.

This partnership with Nexl intends to streamline the firm’s client and business development operations and open doors to accelerated growth. The primary reasons for the firm’s selection of Nexl include:

  • Project management efficiency: The firm sought a technological solution to assist with running pivotal business development projects. For example, they want to grow business within key practice groups, and will leverage Nexl to uncover new opportunities and referrals.
  • Seamless system integration: Nexl’s flexibility makes it a prime choice, as it integrates with key systems in the firm’s marketing technology stack.
  • Visibility to empower collaborative business development: With their existing legacy CRM, the firm lacked visibility into the critical data and relationship insights they need to efficiently prospect and grow revenue. Recognizing this gap, the firm sought a software solution that would enable lawyers to get more visibility into their BD and client development efforts, which Nexl provides.

Previously, the firm had cost and operational concerns with their existing customer relationship management (CRM) platform. The previous CRM was expensive and only captured 20% of their leads and opportunities. The CRM also had a significantly low adoption rate, indicating it didn’t meet the firm’s needs adequately. Lastly, the CRM became an operational bottleneck with the limited integration capabilities with the firm’s financial and practice management system.

“We are extremely excited to be working with one of Europe’s top patent law firms, known for their profound expertise in IP services. We are committed to empowering them in enhancing their business development and marketing efforts.”

Marius Bothma, EMEA Sales Executive at Nexl
