We’re hiring for a Business Development Associate in Chicago. Your focus will be engaging and securing new leads and prospects and nurturing early-stage opportunities. You’ll be working closely with a Business Development Manager who is responsible for closing opportunities and our VP of Sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and establish relationships with the right contacts within a target account list and prioritise outreach based on our intent signals, lead scores and potential referral relationships.
  • Nurture relationships with community influencers by driving them to Nexl or 3rd party events & sharing thought leadership content.
  • Qualify inbound leads to determine if they fit the customer profile and have a genuine interest or need for the product.
  • Attend industry conferences, workshops, and networking events to build relationships and gather insights about the market and potential clients.
  • Complete research on prospects to determine the best approach for relationship building and engagement.
  • Coordinate up meetings or demos between potential clients and the sales team, where the customer has identified at least one paint point (e.g. Event Management).
  • Own responsibility for moving early stage opportunities through our sales pipeline, by requalifying and identifying the decision makers who can help progress them.

What You Bring:

  • 🚀 Has at least 2 years B2B SaaS experience as a proactive lead generating Business Development Associate or BDR.
  • 🎯 Ideally has experience with the legal industry or law firms.
  • 💼 Outstanding relationship-building skills, with an emphasis on connecting with marketing managers, law firm partners, lawyers and business development managers.
  • 🎙️ Showcases outstanding written and verbal communication skills, able to articulate our value proposition compellingly.
  • 🤖 Proficiency with CRM tools.
  • 🌐 Thrives in the dynamic setting of a startup but also understands the nuances of selling in/to larger enterprises.
  • 💡 Collaborative by nature, working seamlessly with cross-functional teams.

We’re seeking a seasoned B2B SaaS sales professional who excels in navigating the intricacies of complex decision-making units. The ideal candidate should be proficient in tapping into the legal or professional services (such as accounting or consulting) industry.

This role is an important role in our go-to-market strategy and our aspirations for future growth. This individual carries an individual quota target and is responsible for driving new business, nurturing existing client relationships, and exploring opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.

Responsibilities:

  • 🎯 Lead Generation & Engagement: Proactively identify and reach out to potential leads and prospects, ensuring a robust pipeline for Nexl.
  • 🤝 Client Interaction: Act as the premier point of contact for prospective clients, eloquently presenting Nexl’s value proposition and cementing our position as a solution of choice.
  • 💡 Product Demonstrations: Schedule and conduct in-depth meetings, providing detailed demonstrations of the Nexl platform, underscoring its unique advantages and features.
  • 🛠️ Solution Crafting: Listen to and comprehend customer needs, tailoring unique solutions through the Nexl platform and our extensive service offerings.
  • 🤖🌐 Team Collaboration: Engage closely with internal Nexl teams, including operations, customer care, and tech, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new clients that aligns with our high standards.
  • 📈 Achieve Sales Excellence: Embody a growth mindset, consistently achieving and even exceeding sales targets, placing a strong emphasis on new business acquisition.
